Union
After one of our most well attended New Members days in August, it’s been great to see our team develop over the last few months, both experienced players and those new to the game.
Despite a couple of tricky matches, we have ended 2024 with a really great performance against the Wessex Wyverns, everyone putting in a sterling performance bringing together everything learned from training, Thebans Clinic and previous games. We’re looking forward to a strong start to the 2025 league and our run up to The Union Cup in Oslo in May!
Touch
It’s been a fantastic year for touch, with the team winning their first ever IGR Tournament in Reading. Followed by a stellar performance at Touch My Brum, getting to the finals and winning the Beorma Bowl.
We’re preparing some big changes to our Touch offering, kicking off in January. We’ll be announcing more details in due course but expect a structured program for new & existing players culminating in Hadrian Cup. We’re also pleased the IGR growing touch with the appointment of league and development officers. We're planning for 2025 to be our biggest year for Touch yet!
Membership & New Members
We’ve seen a massive increase in membership this year, a whopping 36 brand new members have joined since the start of the season. I want to thank all members who have welcomed everyone into the club, it’s heartening to see new friendships blossom and the club grow.
We have our next new members day on 11th January, please share the posts on your socials so we can continue to grow the club. We will be delivering a distinct Touch & Union offering this time, so we can focus on building Touch ahead of the summer season.
